Family of 4 escapes serious injuries after the vehicle they were in went off road and hit a power post

A family of 4 has escaped serious injury after the vehicle they travelling in went off road and hit a power post in Drasa Avenue, Lautoka yesterday.

Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says the vehicle was being driven by a 38-year-old man who was driving along Kings Highway and heading towards Suva with his 28-year-old wife and two daughters.

She says the man allegedly fell asleep and as a result their car veered off the road and hit the post.

Naisoro says the driver and one of his daughters sustained minor bruises and were treated and sent home.
