Family distributes food items to less fortunate families on Christmas Day

While most families were busy preparing Christmas lunch yesterday, a family and some close friends in Pacific Harbour took it upon themselves to distribute food items to less fortunate families in their community.

The initiative was led by Thomas Wong who reached out to his cousins abroad and carried out relief efforts to assist five families between Pacific Harbour and Navua.

Wong says the food packs consisted of chicken, dalo, noodles, tinned fish, flour, rice and cooking oil.

He says they wanted to do this for the families who have been impacted by the pandemic and would not have been able to celebrate Christmas.

Wong says he intends to continue such relief efforts with his small group called the “Pac Drive”.

He also thanked his cousins in overseas who made this initiative possible.

If you want to assist these families, you can contact Thomas Wong on 8605455.
