Athletes, parents, and supporters of Team Fiji that will be leaving for Paris showed up in large numbers for the dedication service held at the Calvary Temple in Samabula today.

Families from various faiths came together to dedicate the lives of the athletes before their departure at different scheduled times.

After the church service, Team Fiji's Chef de Mission, Sale Sorovaki, says it is always encouraging to gather not only for Team Fiji but for anyone participating in the service.

Sorovaki says that Team Fiji will depart in stages, with the Fiji Airways Men's 7s team leaving tomorrow for their pre-games training camp.

He says the rest of the team will depart on the 11th of next month, and the Fijiana 7s team will leave on the 15th.

Sorovaki also urged the people of Fiji to support Team Fiji and to continue praying for them.

The 2024 Paris Olympic Games will be held from July 26th to the 11th of August.
