Families thankful for being able to celebrate Easter without restrictions

People and children from all walks of life were seen taking part in fun activities.

A number of families were seen enjoying Easter Monday with their loved ones and some are thankful for being able to celebrate the weekend and share joy without restrictions this year.

People and children from all walks of life were seen taking part in fun activities, swimming and sharing a meal as a family at My Suva Park today.

Masuwini Maravu of Cunningham who was at My Suva Park with his family and friends says Easter celebrations is different this year compared to previous years but he is thankful for being able to celebrate without any restrictions.

Maravu adds Easter is not only about the resurrection of Jesus Christ but also for families and friends to spend time together.

Sneh Chand of Raiwaqa says Easter this year is not the same for her and the family as prices of food items and other items have gone up however they took advantage of the good weather and had a good family time.

Chand says family is everything for her and she loves to spend her valuable time with her husband and kids during Easter.
