As the Easter weekend comes to an end, many people gathered at My Suva Park today with their families to spend the holiday before another work week resumes tomorrow.

While speaking to fijivillage News, Amoni Dalia from Namalata Village in Tailevu says he and his siblings had planned today’s picnic so they could come together with their respective families.

Dalia says in the morning, they took their children to watch a movie at Damodar Cinema before heading down to My Suva Park.

He says Easter for him is a time to share love, just as God has shown us.

He also urged everyone to show kindness in this challenging world we live in and to care for those around us in our communities.

Talei Finau who lives at Laucala Beach says she brought her nieces and nephews for a picnic after they had finished their respective chores at home.

Finau says it was just a small treat for them, especially with school resuming tomorrow.
