A 47-year-old businesswoman who allegedly posted fake news regarding Queen Victoria School has been granted bail by Suva Magistrate Liyanage Wickramasekara.

Faith Grace has been charged with one count of Malicious Act.

Grace has been released on a bail bond of $2000 with two sureties who have signed on a surety bond of $2000 each.

Magistrate Wickramasekara has ordered Grace to surrender her travel documents, not to interfere with witnesses and not to leave Viti Levu without the court's permission.

He has also ordered her to refrain from publishing or commenting on any controversial subjects on social media platforms.

Grace had allegedly posted on her Facebook page that the government will close down QVS.

She had also claimed in the post that teachers who have reached 55 years will be retired on the spot, and also made a call for ex-students to organise protest marches and meetings.

The case will be called on the 21st of September.
