The Fiji Sugar Corporation is undertaking a $9.2 million upgrade at the Rarawai Mill.
CEO, Graham Clark says the major maintenance project for the Rarawai Mill boiler began immediately after the conclusion of the 2018 crushing season.
Clark says the upgrade to the boiler is expected to produce 115 tonnes of steam per hour.
He adds the aging boiler will get a complete overhaul in time for this year's cane season.
