CEO and Founder, Sashi Kiran

The Foundation for Rural Integrated Enterprises and Development or FRIEND Fiji says they have helped about 10,000 people with food parcels.

These people are mostly from Sigatoka, Nadi and Lautoka.

CEO and Founder, Sashi Kiran says since November they have seen an increase in the number of people requesting for food parcels.

Kiran says they are also directing their food assistance program to people in the non-formal sector.

She adds they are assessing on a case by case basis and they do not want people to be without food.

Kiran also says they have been providing organic farming training and this is mostly being done in Nadi.

They have also been providing stationery kits to students.

If you want to assist FRIEND Fiji, you can contact them on 8983183 or friend@connect.com.fj.
