The Fiji Roads Authority is yet to respond regarding serious concerns raised by motorists as to why no sealing works have taken place on a long stretch on Kings Road at 8 miles, Nasinu.
We witnessed a contractor digging part of the lane going towards Nausori a few months ago, however, that stretch of the road was just filled with gravel and not sealed.
This big portion of the road which is one of the most busiest roads in Fiji has now gone uneven and motorists have raised serious concerns that their vehicles are getting damaged.
We have also witnessed that during peak traffic time, a big traffic jam occurs on this section of the road at 8 miles as motorists do not want to use the left lane which is in a very bad state.
We sent questions to the FRA last Wednesday to explain why this section of the road has been left like this for so long considering the fact that this is the main highway.
A response is expected soon.
