Following serious concerns raised by people living in Nakasi, Waila in Nausori and Flagstaff on the lack of bus shelters and the condition of the available shelters, Fiji Roads Authority says they will include this in their forward works program and submit a special funding request, if possible, within this fiscal year.

FRA says they currently have a backlog of items awaiting delivery.

Jessica Delana from Nausori says people rely on public transportation, however, the lack of proper shelter has made their journey challenging.

A man who catches the bus with his family at Rups, Nakasi is urging the relevant authorities to build more bus shelters and improve conditions of the bus shelters as they get drenched during rainy conditions.

Saten Chand from flagstaff is requesting relevant authorities to improve the conditions of bus shelter opposite total service station in flagstaff and opposite Vatuwaqa Primary School as his kids gets wet when its raining.
