Fiji Roads Authority’s CEO Jonathan Moore says they will continue with their ‘rehabilitate, not repair’ approach to ensure the best value for money while fixing the roads.

Moore says rehabilitation is the process through which the surface is removed and the base is mixed with cement to provide a more durable structure.

He says road works are progressing well on Ratu Sukuna Road and they have now commenced road rehabilitation works on Princes Road in Tamavua and Fletcher Road in Vatuwaqa.

Moore says works on Princes, Fletcher and Ratu Sukuna Roads are anticipated to be completed by the end of this month, weather permitting.

He says all the major arterial roads in Suva City will be dealt through rehabilitation.

Moore says once these works are complete, they will then commence rehabilitation works on selected sections on Nabua bypass road, Nabua commercial area road, Waimanu Road, Nokonoko Road among others.
