FNU to have a Disability Centre soon at Namaka Campus

The Fiji National University will soon have a Disability Centre.

FNU Acting Dean of the College of Engineering Salabogi Mavoa says the university is creating an accessible centre where students can complete assignments, sit for exams and even socialise.

105 students are currently registered with the Office of Disability Services at FNU.

Mavoa says they are renovating all their campuses to ensure that it is disability friendly.

The renovations at Namaka Campus are complete while the renovations at Nabua and Derek Campus will also take place.

Mavoa says they are committed to providing equal accessibility to education and training to people irregardless of their background, level of income or disability.
