FNPF has duty to collect outstanding funds
The Fiji National Provident Fund said the action taken to stop defaulting employers from leaving the country for failure to pay outstanding contributions has to be done for the sake of fairness.

Manager Public Relations & Corporate Communications Wainikiti Bogidrau revealed to Fijivillage News that more than one hundred defaulting employers names have been forwarded to the Immigration Department as it steps up its efforts in trying to collect outstanding contributions.

The total figure owed by employers for unpaid contributions for the financial year 2009 stands at close to $7million dollars.

Bogidrau said the FNPF has the duty to collect the funds for their members.
