FNPF Lockdown Relief extended until next Monday

8,687 members paid $1.9 million - Vodonaivalu

The Fiji National Provident Fund has announced the extension of the Lockdown Relief and it will now close next Monday, following government’s announcement for the extension of the containment period.

Acting CEO, Viliame Vodonaivalu says so far they have paid 8,687 members $1.9 million.

Vodonaivalu says $375,590 was topped up by government while the rest was members withdrawing their own money.

He says since they have a number of COVID-19 reliefs running concurrently, they have also had to schedule their payments to members and the lockdown relief is being paid out on Wednesday and Friday.

Vodonaivalu further says members who qualify for this relief must try and contact their employers to confirm that their names have been submitted in the whitelist so that they can submit their applications.

He adds those who still cannot reach their employer must first check on the FNPF website that their employer is included in the whitelist before contacting their teams to assist them.
