The Fiji Labour Party clarifies that the Twitter account under the name of Party Leader Mahendra Chaudhary@MPCFiji (It’s time for a change) is a fake account and the party has lodged a complaint with the Cybercrime Unit of the Fiji Police Force.

Mahendra Chaudhry says the account is fake and deceptive and does not belong to him.

He says the fake account uses the same picture that he has on his official Twitter account, but the surname is misspelt.

He adds the account was opened on the 23rd of April and is quite active.

The FLP Leader says they have lodged the complaint with Police, and the matter is now under investigation.

He says they are also writing to Twitter to have the fake account discontinued.
