FICAC investigating 41 files of Housing Authority customer and former employees on lot allocation – Housing Authority CEO

The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption is currently investigating 41 files about customers and former employees of the Housing Authority being allocated lots.

This was highlighted by the CEO of Housing Authority, Ritesh Singh while making submissions to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Accounts on the Report on Special Investigation on Housing Authority - Allotment of Lots and Tender Process and Housing Authority of Fiji.

Singh says he is aware of two customer cases, and both have been charged.

He says in the last 6 months, they have seen three former Housing Authority staff charged and taken to court.

He adds that they have been continuously asked for information from FICAC in this regard, and FICAC’s investigation continues.
