Expect something today. FICAC is only saying this for now when questioned by fijivillage on the progress of investigations regarding the alleged abuse of allowances by some parliamentarians.

FICAC earlier confirmed that it is investigating eight Opposition MPs and one government MP for allegedly breaching eligibility requirements for travel and accommodation allowances.

The commission says the nature of the complaint alleges that these MPs claimed travel and accommodation allowances they were not entitled to.

It says that once all the relevant evidence is collated and analysed, a decision will be made and necessary action taken, should it be required.
