FHL to fund construction of new Police HQ
Fijian Holdings Limited today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Police Force for the FHL to fund the construction of a new police headquarters estimated to cost $20 million.

Defence Minister Ratu Epeli Ganilau while signing the MOU at Fijian holdings office said the new building is expected to alleviate costs in rental of office spaces by centralizing all operations in one location.

He added this project is in accordance with the Government Cost cutting initiative.  

Ganilau said at present the Fiji Police Force occupies three separate offices in the Suva Nausori corridor at a total cost of $1.3million per annum.

He added, under the agreement they will be given 20 years to pay back the loan.
