Team Rhizome of the Fiji Electricity Authority today received their award after winning a gold medal at the Asian Productivity Quality Organisation Ace Competition which took place in Manila, Phillippines in October this year.
The team which consisted of five FEA employees were amongst more than 16 other nations who competed at the event.
The competition aimed to generate teamwork and processing improvement.
The team had also claimed gold at the National Convention on Quality in 2016 after competing with other organisations from around Fiji.
FEA’s Chief Executive Officer Hasmukh Patel says it is a proud moment for FEA and he thanked the team for representing Fiji well at the competition.
Patel says that 60% of their employees were involved in the competition in the past and they will work to encourage them to re-engage with the programme.
