FEA fuel surcharge abolished

FEA fuel surcharge abolished
Good news as power bills will no longer have the fuel surcharge rate.

The Commerce Commission has abolished the Fuel Surcharge with effect 7 days from today.

The extent to which FEA's customers were charged under Fuel surcharge was a function of two variables: the cost of fuel and the amount of fuel consumed by FEA.

The latter variables are in turn a function of the season and the water level in Monasavu.

Chairman Dr Mahendra Reddy said with these variables improving significantly in the last few months, they have decided to abolish the fuel surcharge which FEA has agreed to.
