England beats Germany 2-1 to win Women’s European Championship

England are the Women’s European Champions as they have beaten Germany 2-1 in a dramatic final at Wembley this morning.

Ella Toone scored the first goal for England in the second half while Lina Magull scored late into the second half.

The teams were tied 1 all at the end of normal play.

Chloe Kelly scored the winning goal for the England late into the added extra time.

The English women’s team had never won any major trophy before.

This is also England’s first major trophy at senior level since 1966 men's World Cup.
