Empowerment of women in the Pacific is a priority for NZ - Ardern

New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says the empowerment of women in the Pacific is a priority for New Zealand.

While speaking during the Women Leaders’ Lunch at the New Zealand High Commissioners residence, Ardern says this has been led by women for women in the Pacific.

The New Zealand Prime Minister also acknowledged the Ministry of Womens’ strong emphasis on gender equality.

Ardern says New Zealand is keen to partner Fiji in Fiji’s bid to eliminate violence against Women and Girls through the Ministry’s national plan.

Members of Parliament, Civil Service, Corporate Sector and NGO’s were part of the lunch.
