Eminoni Raqiyawa from Niusawa Methodist High School in Taveuni has won the first gold medal for his school in the Junior Boys Javelin event at the 2025 Coca-Cola Games.
Raqiyawa hails from Nakasaleka Village in Kadavu.
He says the main challenges he faced during preparation were time management and trying to balance his schoolwork with the commitment to training.
He adds that the outcome of his sacrifice was witnessed today.
Raqiyawa also dedicates his gold medal to his parents and school teachers for their endless support.
