Electoral Commission gets new vehicle from Indian Government
Chairman of the Electoral Commission Suresh Chandra thanks Indian High Commissioner to Fiji Vishvas Sapkal for the new vehicle

The Indian Government through the Indian High Commission in Fiji has donated a Mahindra vehicle to the Electoral Commission.

Indian High Commissioner to Fiji Vishvas Sapkal says they are also working to get another four vehicles to be given shortly to the Elections Office.

Sapkal says they donated 6000 bottles of indelible ink to the Fijian Elections Office last month.

Supervisor of Elections Mohammad Saneem says it is obvious during election times there will be requirements of massive amounts of logistics.

He says he is glad that the Indian Government has once again come to the aid of the Fijian Elections Office with a vehicle to assist in the logistics of the Electoral Commission.

Chairman of the Electoral Commission Suresh Chandra thanked the Indian Government for their donation.

Chandra says in the 2014 elections the Indian Government had given ten vehicle to the Elections Office.
