The Electoral Commission has dismissed the HOPE Party’s application where they appealed the decision of the Registrar of Political Parties for deregistering the party.
The Commission received an appeal under section 30 of the Political Parties Act on 24th February from the party.
Party Leader Tupou Draunidalo and the Registrar of Political Parties Mohammed Saneem were then invited by the Commission to present their submissions.
After considering the submissions, the Electoral Commission made the decision to dismiss the appeal.
