Electoral Commission allocates seats after the 2022 general elections

Chairman of the Electoral Commission Mukesh Nand says the total number of voters in the 2022 general elections was 473,910 and the threshold was 23,696.

Nand says based on the results of the elections, the FijiFirst Party has 26 seats in parliament, the People’s Alliance has 21 seats, the National Federation Party has 5 seats and SODELPA has 3 seats.

He says after the allocation of the parliamentary seats, the Commission’s next duty is to return the Writ of Elections to the President of Fiji.
