Edward Nand’s case to be consolidated with co-accused in Afroz Khan murder trial

27-year-old Edward Nand who has been charged with the murder of Afroz Khan between November 27th and December 12th last year will have his charges consolidated with his co-accused.

Prosecutor Unaisi Ratukalou had asked to move Nand’s case from High Court 3 to High Court 4 for this matter.

Nand appeared before Justice Thushara Rajasinghe this morning.

He is accused of striking Afroz Khan multiple times with a wheel spanner before throwing him into Waisere River in Tailevu.

Meanwhile, Nand and Salimoni Ligacere are serving life imprisonment for the murder of a visiting Fijian national from Canada, Narend Chand, on 19th February 2023.
