Eco Guardians empower youths to advocate for a pollution-free future

The Eco Guardians Fiji organization advocates for a pollution-free environment, with youths playing a key role as community change-makers.

Chief Executive Officer Joanna Caine says there is a need to transform the mindset of young people, as they are the future and deserve the opportunity to live better lives.

Caine states that everyone has the right to live in a clean environment.

She says the organization was officially registered in May and has already conducted several clean-up campaigns along the Suva to Lami corridor, attracting significant participation from young volunteers.

Caine adds while many identify as Christians, the state of the environment does not reflect these values, as rubbish is scattered throughout the community.
