A 5.3 magnitude offshore earthquake struck 5km north of Yasawa and 83km north north west of Ba Town at 10.55 last night.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10km.
This tremor which lasted for at least 5 seconds was felt in some parts of Viti Levu.
According to the Seismology Unit, the earthquake does not pose any immediate tsunami threat to the region.
