The European Union is allocating $450,000 in humanitarian assistance to families affected by Tropical Cyclone Harold.

The Ambassador of the European Union for the Pacific Sujiro Seam says this will assist 10,000 people in the hardest hit areas in Southern Lau, Kadavu and parts of the Western and Central divisions.

Fiji Red Cross Director Ilisapeci Rokotunidau says this assistance will go a long way in bringing some form of normality to affected families and communities.
