EFL to carry out maintenance works on Wailoa‑Nadarivatu transmission line today

Energy Fiji Limited will be carrying out maintenance works on their 132kV Wailoa‑Nadarivatu transmission line today to replace a corroded line hardware on one of their towers.

Chief Executive Officer Hasmukh Patel says that Energy Fiji Limited technicians plan to carry out this planned maintenance works from 5am to 7pm.

He adds that during this their technicians will be required to de-energise the 132kV transmission line that transmits power to people in Sigatoka to Rakiraki.

Patel says that they will reply on power supply from the Nadarivatu Hydroelectric Power Scheme and all its Diesel Power Stations at Sigatoka, Qeleloa, Nadi, Vuda, and Rakiraki to supply electricity to customers in these areas in the Western Division.

He has also stressed that Energy Fiji Limited will work to ensure that power interruptions are kept to a minimum.
