Defending champions Dynamic Reds have successfully retained their Vodafone Fiji Cup Basketball Competition title in the Women’s Category, defeating Zodiac Wyverns 37-21 this afternoon.

The Reds led 15-2 at halftime.

Head coach Jordan Dokonivalu praised his team’s performance, saying they played like true champions.

Dokonivalu says from the beginning of the competition, he reminded the players regarding the strong defence and game control, which finally paid off.

Dokonivalu dedicated this victory to Lela Lomainavure, a cherished teammate they lost.

He says this win is also for the Raiwaqa community, whose unwavering support has always fueled the girls in every tournament.

He acknowledged the challenges the team faced, as many players juggle studies and work, but commended their dedication and focus in overcoming these obstacles.

Meanwhile, Zodiac Rams will face Boston in the Men’s final at the FMF Gymnasium.
