The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team put up a brave performance in the cup final as they lost to Australia 15-5.

Australia scored a try in the first half to Player of the Final, Faith Nathan.

The Fijiana side was shut out by Australia pinning them back inside their territory for most of the first half.

The second spell started well for Fijiana from the kick-off as Alowesi Nakoci won the ball and connected with captain Rusila Nagasau who took it forward and stood strong in the tackle before managing an off-load to Reapi Ulunisau who scored Fijiana's try.

Madison Ashby scored another two tries to seal the win for Australia.

Fijiana remains in second place on the standings with 36 points while Australia takes a slender lead at first place with 40 points.
