Dubai 7s: Ball retention is one of our main focus this weekend - Kolinisau

Fiji Airways National Men's 7s Coach Osea Kolinisau says going into Dubai this weekend as defending champions, one of their main focus is ball retention.

Kolinisau highlighted this to the media before the team left saying their data and analysis shows if they keep the ball for a long time, they always score.

He says the longer they keep the ball, the easier it is to break teams down.

Kolinisau says they have been working with the team on their kick offs and their pods as the other teams will try to attack their line-outs and breakdown.

Fiji has been drawn in a strong pool alongside Argentina, South Africa, and France.

Fiji’s first pool match is against Argentina at 9.10pm Saturday, followed by South Africa at 12.16am Sunday and France at 4.12am on Sunday.

The Men's Cup semi finals kick off at 10.06pm Sunday while the Cup final is at 4.11am next Monday.
