Dry season affects water supply in the North

Please start using water wisely if you live in the Northern Division.

That’s because the continuing dry weather has led to the consistent decrease in raw water levels at the Nasealevu and Navau intakes.

The Water Authority of Fiji says this may affect their ability to produce sufficient amounts of clean water.

If you live in elevated areas in the North expect low water pressure during peak hours as valve operations are scheduled to take place in certain areas in an effort to ration water supply.

Please take shorter showers and do not leaving a tap running idle.

Stop watering plants and use buckets to clean your vehicles for controlled usage.
