Drunk farmer found lying on roadside arrested for allegedly breaching curfew

A 29-year-old farmer who was found drunk and lying on the side of the road in Labasa was one of 13 people arrested over the past 48 hours for allegedly breaching the curfew.

Police say seven arrests were made in the first 24 hour period.

The Southern Division recorded four reports, two were recorded in the Eastern Division and there was one case in the North

According to Police, the arrests recorded in the Southern Division were made in Samabula, Valelevu, Nasinu and Raiwaqa.

All involved men who were found loitering in public places.

The arrests made in the Eastern Division were made in Nausori and Nakasi.

From 11 o'clock last night to 4 o'clock this morning, six reports were recorded and all were made in the Western Division.

These six arrests were made in Lautoka and Sigatoka and involved men who were found drunk in public.
