Drivers are trying to run red lights - LTA
LTA is strongly urging drivers and all road users to continue following road safety rules

Concerns are being raised as it is becoming increasingly common to see drivers try to run red lights.

LTA’s Acting CEO, Irimaia Rokosawa says it is selfish and irresponsible, and by doing this, drivers are endangering the lives of everyone around them, especially pedestrians who are more vulnerable to harm in such cases.

Rokosawa adds when someone is running a red light, they are usually travelling at a high speed through the intersection when pedestrians are crossing the road.

He says these accidents at intersections usually causes severe injuries.

The LTA is strongly urging drivers and all road users to continue following road safety rules.
