Dortmund dents Newcastle’s knockout stages hope with 2-0 win in the Champions League

Newcastle's hopes of reaching the knockout stages of the Champions League were dented as they lost 2-0 to Dortmund this morning.

Dortmund led 1-0 at halftime through a Niclas Fullkrug goal before Julian Brandt scored their second goal in the second half.

In other matches today, Shakhtar Donetsk beat Barcelona 1-0.
