Flying Fijians coach Samu Domoni Junior is well aware of the threats and challenges Samoa poses upfront but he is confident they have enough talent and depth to take them on.
Samoa has named players like George Stowers, Kane Thompson, Daniel Leo, Census Johnston and Mahonri Schwalger in the forwards which indicates they will try to establish their strength in the battle upfront.
Speaking to Fiji TV Sports in Auckland, Domoni believes those who have been named in the team will put their heart and soul into the jersey and they are capable of performing to that level in a big occasion.
Sunday’s game will also be a special occasion for flyhalf Nicky Little who will become the most capped player for any of the Pacific Island nations and will win his 70th cap after he became the first Fiji player to play at four Rugby World Cups.
The 60,000 sellout clash at Eden Park is sudden-death.
Only one of these teams can remain in the quarterfinal hunt and Little said Samoa could bow with the burden of pressure.
He added that the Flying Fijians are the underdogs.
