Dilkusha U16 Boys through to finals after knocking out favourites Tilak 1-0, in sudden death strokes semi final

First timers Dilkusha Methodist High School have knocked out favourites Tilak High School in the U16 Boys semi finals, after sudden death strokes 1-0.

Dilkusha is now in the finals, playing for the Noal Gibson Cup of the Venu Haulage Shipping Limited and Outback Range Pte Ltd Fiji Secondary Schools Hockey Competition tomorrow.

Coming into today’s eliminations, Tilak were unbeaten, and they also won all four games yesterday, beating Suva Grammar School, St Thomas High School, Dilkusha and St John’s College.

Dilkusha and Sila Central High School were the newcomers in this tournament.

The schools are competing for the U16 Boys Noal Cup, U16 Girls Melaia Sandys Cup, U19 Girls Westmere Cup, and U19 Boys Bhasin Cup, along with the John May Cup and Sophia Raddock Cup in the Inter-district Tournament.
