Digicel Fiji staff in Suva, Nadi and Labasa have donated blood to the Fiji National Blood Bank.

The initiative is part of Digicel’s 13th birthday celebrations.

Digicel says with the COVID-19 pandemic, blood drive outreach services were restricted which resulted in a shortage of blood around Fiji.

CEO, Farid Mohammed says Digicel is pleased to assist the Blood Bank in their efforts to collect blood.

He says during this pandemic, Digicel has escalated its commitment to Fijians through several corporate social responsibility initiatives and they will continue to do so.

Digicel also donated a laptop to the Fiji National Blood Services to assist them with their outreach and has pledged to create awareness about blood donation in Fiji to meet the growing demand.
