Divisional Planning Officer West, Sitiveni Tavaga says the decision to distribute food rations to affected communities in the Western Division will be made after assessments are done to the farms.
Tavaga has told Fijivillage that they are estimating $100,000 worth of crop damage in the West.
He says assessments are still being done in the Ra province which received extensive damage.
Meanwhile, a businessman of Rakiraki, Azmat Ali says they are continuing to clean the town after the massive flood.
Ali says National Fire Officers have also helped them in the cleaning.
Ali says many businesses have suffered badly.
A resident of Colasi has told us that she has lost all her crops and livestock and they will have to start all over again.
She says that their house had five feet of flood water and most of their belongings were damaged.
