A decision is expected soon on whether the gold medal-winning Fiji 7s team will play in the Vancouver 7s.
Fiji Rugby CEO, John O’Connor says they are in discussions with World Rugby and have informed them of the challenges they are currently facing.
O’Connor says considering the players have been away from their families for a very long time, they have to balance the welfare and safety of the players.
He adds if they are to train then they will need to move into a bubble again and get the relevant approvals for training.
The Vancouver 7s will be played from the 18th of next month followed by the Edmonton 7s.
