Cunningham Old Road residents have acknowledged the immediate action by Police regarding groups of boys smoking marijuana and gambling beside their house.

The residents say they are now feeling safe and do not have to worry much as police are conducting mobile patrols to address these issues.

This is after some residents raised concerns regarding groups of boys gambling, smoking marijuana, and influencing children to smoke with them daily.

The residents had said it was not safe for them to leave their houses empty or women of their families alone as they have shift work.

Meanwhile, Police Chief Operations Officer ACP Livai Driu says the patrols continue in the area, and the officers also came across some youths hanging around.

They were searched and warned to go home.
