The Crusaders have booked their place in the Super Rugby Aotearoa final despite going down 26-25 against the Chiefs last night.

The Crusaders are currently leading the standings with 23 points, the Chiefs are second with 16 points while the Blues are third with 15 points.

The defending champions take on the Blues this Sunday and even a loss would see them book their place in the final because the Blues and the Chiefs would need to win their two remaining games to overtake the Crusaders.

That is not possible because the Chiefs and the Blues go up against each other in the last round.

The Crusaders will take on the Blues at 3.35pm next Sunday while the Chiefs take on the Hurricanes at 7.05pm Friday.

The Super Rugby Aotearoa final will be played on 8th May.
