Former Crusaders and All Blacks fullback, Israel Dagg has pointed out that the 10 times Super Rugby champions are the team to beat in the new New Zealand domestic competition.

Speaking to Sky Sports UK, Dagg says the Crusaders have a back-line which is like a Ferrari and a forward pack which is like a Rolls Royce which means they have got it all.

The 32-year-old says before the lockdown, they know what it takes to win and how to win championship matches and that is what this competition will be like for them.

Dagg claims that most teams hate playing against the Crusaders and most of them never give them a reason which is why the four other teams in the competition will come out with guns full blazing when they face the Crusaders.

Dagg has played 89 games for the Crusaders, and retire from international rugby in 2019.

The Crusaders will open their Super Rugby Aotearoa campaign against the Hurricanes at 3.35pm Sunday while the other match this week is between the Blues and the Chiefs at 7.05pm Saturday.
