Court to rule next week on no case to answer application in former senior police officer's abuse of office case

The Suva Magistrates Court will deliver a ruling on the no case to answer application in former Police Director Internal Affairs, Acting SSP Mohammed Talib Khan's case.

Khan is charged with one count of abuse of office.

It is alleged that on 13th April 2017 in Suva, Khan directed the unlawful arrest and detention of a person, in abuse of the authority of his office and which was an arbitrary act.

Khan is represented by lawyer, John Rabuku.
