Court to fix hearing date in Vakarisi's criminal intimidation case next month

The Suva Magistrates Court will fix the hearing date on the 19th of this month in the matter where Jone Vakarisi allegedly assaulted his partner in Raiwaqa last year.

Vakarisi is charged with two counts of assault causing actual bodily harm, a count of act with intent to cause grievous harm and a count of criminal intimidation.

He allegedly assaulted his partner on two separate occasions on the 26th of December last year.

Vakarisi is also alleged to have acted with intent to cause grievous bodily harm by assaulting her with a knife.

He allegedly threatened her on Boxing Day last year as well.

Vakarisi is back in remand for another matter.
