24-year-old Osea Mataitoga who allegedly murdered an elderly couple in Lawai, Sigatoka in February last year has been remanded in custody by the Sigatoka Magistrates Court.
The farmer who is from Lawai Village is charged with two counts of murder and one count of robbery.
Sesha Reddy and Mirdu Lata were found dead in their home on the 2nd of February last year.
Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho has said the first responding team were also able to establish that some items were missing from their residence.
The matter has been adjourned to Monday.
