Court grants bail to alleged TikTok bully

The 61-year-old woman who is charged for allegedly bullying people on TikTok has been granted bail by the Nadi Magistrates Court.

Anis Khatoon Gwaizda is charged with 2 counts of causing harm by posting electronic communication.

Police say Gwaizda was allegedly misusing or was being irresponsible by creating hatred, using vulgar and degrading language and was bullying others on the virtual platform.

Her bail condition includes deactivating all her social media accounts for the next 14 days, $500 cash bond and a surety.

She has also been ordered to not leave the country.

Police say the woman recently came to Fiji from Australia.

The matter has been adjourned to the 11th of February.
